[Michael Buhler's given age, 14, agrees with his birth date. No evidence is found for him in census records of 1850 and beyond.]

30. Kilian's relationship to Johann Peter Buhler has not been determined. No birth or baptism record has been found for Kilian in the Altkrautheim Tauf Register. Kilian is included with the Buhler family group on the Marcia Cleaves customs passenger list but has not been located in any other United States records. Johann Peter Buhler and Maria Anna Keppler averaged a childbirth every 22 months. Kilian's age calculated from the passenger list would place his birth in the 40 month gap between Johann's and Maria's daughters Rosina Christina and Karolina Sophia.

Rosina Bukeler, date of burial at Bayou St John Cemetery, 5 Feb 1844, "New Orleans Genesis" Vol. VI, No. 24, September 1967.  Rosina Christina Buhler was on the passenger list of the Marcia Cleaves, arriving in New Orleans in 1840. She is not found with the family in the 1850 census when she would have been 19 years of age. It is possible this record is from her death.

35. Kilian Buhler was on the passenger list of the ship Marcia Cleaves in 1840. Although Kilian arrived with the family at New Orleans in 1840, he is not found with them in the  1850 census or later records. Kilian would have been 17 years of age in 1850 and assumed to be living with his family. Kilian probably died in New Orleans before 1850.

36. Karolina Sophia Buhler was on the passenger list of the Marcia Cleaves, arriving in New Orleans in 1840. She is not found with the family in the 1850 census. She would have been 16 years of age and assumed to be living with her family. Karolina probably died in New Orleans before 1850.

37. Eva Katharina Buhler was on the passenger list of the Marcia Cleaves, arriving in New Orleans in 1840. She is not found with the family in the 1850 census. She would have been 14 years of age and assumed to be living with her family. Eva Katharina probably died in New Orleans before 1850.

38. Catharina Barbara Mosthaf Buhler probably died within the first few years of arriving in New Orleans in 1840. No evidence has been found to indicate that Peter and Catherina had any children in Louisiana. Maria Sabina Buhler was born 3 September 1847 therefore Peter remarried about 1846 to Dorothea Elizabeth Behrns.
