The birth date given on this certificate, 13 Nov 1889, agrees with George's age, 72, given in: George H. Buhler obituary, Times Picayune, New Orleans, Louisiana, 11 November 1962, page 2, column 3. Louisiana Division, New Orleans Public Library. George's birth year of 1889 also agrees with the year given in: Buhler Charles Sr household, 1900 U.S. census, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, population schedule, New Orleans, enumeration district [ED] 136, supervisor's district [SD] 1, page 16, line 8, dwelling 300, family 335; National Archives micropublication  T623, roll  575. U.S. Census Collection, Ancestry.com, 5 Feb 2002, http://www.ancestry.com/. Georges birth year of 1889 conflicts with the age, 48, and date, 11/13/1888, which appears to have been writen in his own hand on: George Buhler, Form SS5, original application for social security card.

The information on this birth certificate was given by a midwife on 3 May 1921. George's father is recorded here as Geo L Buhler; he was baptized George Henry Buhler. George is recorded here as "Jr" however he never used that suffix.
